This is a complete cycle of breathing. If you want to try pranayama for yourself, it is best to start slowly, with ten cycles, always on an empty stomach. Early morning is good time to do it, before mediation if you like. As you become accustomed to it, pranayama can be done ten to thirty times, once or twice a day needed. Pranayaam should not be done on a full stomach. Always do pranayama on an empty stomach
